Megan Fox in Transformers

Megan Fox was only twenty years old when she was cast in the 2007 blockbuster hit “Transformers”. The raven-haired beauty auditioned for the director, Michael Bay, to play Mikaela Banes. She eventually impressed Michael Bay and got the part. Bay had said in interviews that he wanted a young actress who had a strong stomach and strong legs because the part required a lot of running. Fox, on the other hand, said she thought Bay did not like skinny girls, because she had to gain ten pounds for her role.

The character that Megan Fox plays on Transformers is Mikaela Banes, the love interest of the lead male character, Sam Witwicky, played by Shia LeBoeuf. Mikaela is the daughter of a car thief and a mechanic, which is why she knows a lot about cars. In the beginning of the movie she was known as the popular pretty girl and was at first dating a guy named Trent, the football player. She does not like the way Trent was treating her, so she breaks up with him. She later goes with Sam, and she inspects Sam’s car—an old 1976 Chevrolet Camaro. Sam is surprised that Mikaela knows about cars, since this is contrary to what most people think of Mikaela, the average popular girl. They start dating later in the movie, after battling with the evil robots, Decepticons.

In 2009, Fox will reprise her role as Mikaela in the sequel of Transformers, “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”. She is expected to give a supporting role once again to Shia LeBeouf’s character, but she will also be seen doing stunts and action scenes. In fact, in the movie’s two-minute trailer that was released just recently she was shown in brief scenes with Sam.

Many people are excited about the Transformers sequel, not just because of the movie itself, but because of the actors. Shia LeBeouf is known to be a rising young actor, and has gained thousands of fans since appearing in big blockbuster hits, such as “Constantine”, “Disturbia” and “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”.

Megan Fox’s star is also rising. She has been featured in magazines, both fashion and men’s magazines, and has been steadily gaining fans. She has also been getting recognition for her frank and fun personality, not to mention her great figure. Like LeBeouf, Fox has great potential as an actress, so it is not difficult to see her as a future big name celebrity. With Megan Fox appearing on screen for Transformers 2, she will surely gain even more fans.
